Task:

Drawing-in pliers coating

Effective protection for the capstans and pull-in pliers

Coating drawing-in pliers is a particularly efficient method of protecting the surface of capstans. The impact of the drawing-in pliers on the capstan – which is unavoidable during operation – is significantly reduced by the impact-resistant coating.

A permanently adhering, rubber-like protective coating is applied to the drawing-in pliers using a special casting process. This reduces mechanical stress and plays a significant role in extending the service life of both the capstans and the drawing-in pliers.

As a result, costly overhauls and repairs to capstans can be significantly reduced and, in the best-case scenario, avoided altogether.

Product requirements:

Advantages of the sheathed drawing-in pliers

  • Easy replacement of the drawing-in pliers
  • Unchanged handling during operation
  • Significant noise reduction when drawing-in pliers are swinging about
  • Deburred edges for comfortable and safe handling
  • Gentle operation and reduced wear

Additional protection provided by chain guard covers

To ensure maximum protection for the capstan, we recommend the additional use of a chain guard. This prevents further mechanical impact on the capstan, particularly when the drawing pliers are swinging about.

Chain protection sleeves are available for drawing-in pliers from size 4 upwards.

Available lengths:

  • 0.5 m
  • 1.0 m

Also for used drawing-in pliers

It is not only new drawing-in pliers that can be fitted with our protective sleeve. Used drawing-in pliers can also be fitted with the sheathing, thereby optimising them for gentler and longer-lasting use.
